IIMS 2022 Organizer Prepares Two Omicron Anticipation Exhibition Schedules

JAKARTA - PT Dyandra Promosindo as the organizer of the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2022 is said to have prepared two exhibition schedules to anticipate the surge in COVID-19 cases due to the Omicron variant.

President Director of Dyandra Promosindo Hendra Noor Saleh said this strategy was taken to support the realization of the national automotive celebration.

"If it goes according to plan (it will be held) from February 17 to February 27, 2022. But if there is a PPKM, we have prepared a backup schedule from March 31 to April 20, 2022," he said in Jakarta, Thursday, February 3.

Hendra hopes that the pandemic situation can continue to be controlled so that the initial plans that have been prepared can be carried out smoothly. In addition, he also invited all the people involved to comply with health protocols.

"We really have to strictly maintain health protocols," he said.

Furthermore, Hendra informed that a number of automotive manufacturers have stated their commitment to participate in this year's IIMS event, such as Toyota, Honda, Suzuki, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Wuling, BMW, DFSK, to Tesla.

Meanwhile, the line up for two-wheeled vehicles will be filled with Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Vespa, Benelli, and others.

Based on information from the committee, IIMS 2022 is said to be a comeback momentum for the Chinese car company, Chery. Then, local manufacturers Gelis and PT Solar Panel Indonesia are reportedly also ready to display their latest products.

The organizers estimate that this exhibition will be able to attract 400,000 to 500,000 people to attend throughout the event. This optimism is based on the achievement of motor vehicle sales last year which was quite high, supported by tax facilities from the government.
