Good News! 22 Financial Institutions Participate In BI Fast Batch II, Transfer Fees Of Rp2,500 Are Expansive

JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) has officially informed that there are additional 22 financial institutions participating in BI Fast batch II. In detail, this second wave consists of 21 bank institutions and 1 non-bank institution.

Head of the BI Communications Department Erwin Haryono said this was the central bank's commitment to accelerating the digitalization of the national economy and finance.

"Through the expansion of BI Fast fast payment participants, the payment system infrastructure provided will further facilitate retail payment transactions for the public," he said in an official statement, Monday, January 31.

In this second wave, there is one non-bank participant, namely PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI), which contains this service that can support the digitization of transactions in the capital market.

"With a total of 43 participants (including the first batch of BI Fast participants), they represent 81.45 percent of the share of the national retail payment system," he said.

Erwin explained that BI Fast will continue to be expanded gradually to include bulk credit, direct debit, and request for payment services.

"BI Fast is an instrument that provides fast, easy, cheap, safe, reliable services to accelerate economic recovery and encourage growth, as well as economic and financial inclusion," he stressed.

For information, one of the advantages of BI Fast that can be directly felt by the public is the reduction in interbank transfer fees from the previous Rp6,500 to Rp2,500.
