Edy Mulyadi Will Be Questioned By The Criminal Investigation Unit Of The National Police, Postpone Visiting The Press Council
JAKARTA - Edy Mulyadi's attorney, Herman Kadir, said the client had postponed his visit to the Press Council. The postponement was made because Edy Mulyadi will undergo an examination at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police, Monday, January 31.
"We are waiting for the (Press Council) plan, after the examination tomorrow, Monday, (so) we will see the progress of the BAP first," said Herma Kadir, confirmed by VOI, Sunday, January 30.
Herman explained that his client will attend the examination at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police on Monday, January 31, at 10.00 WIB. He came to fulfill the summons as a witness to the hate speech case regarding the statement in Kalimantan where the genie dumped his child.
"So everyone, Monday (January 31), at 10 at the Criminal Investigation Department," he said.
As previously reported, Edy Mulyadi's attorney, Herman Kadir, said that the summons against his client was not in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) during the examination schedule for Friday, January 28. This was one of the reasons Edy Mulyadi did not attend the examination.
"So it has to be at least 3 days, it's only been 2 days that there have been summons, the point is that it is not in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code," said Herman.
Therefore, Herman asked the investigators to correct the summons. Thus, the inspection process is in accordance with the rules.
"We ask that the summons be revised again," said Herman.
Meanwhile, the Bareskrim Polri has sent a second summons to Edy Mulyadi in the case of alleged hate speech regarding Kalimantan where the genie dumped their child. Edy Mulyadi is scheduled to undergo an examination early next week.
"Investigators issued a second summons and accompanied by a warrant to be present on Monday, January 31, 2022," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Friday, January 28.
In the examination schedule, Edy Mulyadi will be questioned as a witness at 10.00 WIB.
In addition, Ramadhan also stated that the summons for the examination had been received. The letter was received by the wife of Edy Mulyadi.
"So earlier the summons was immediately delivered to the house and the wife who received it," said Ramadhan.
In addition, Ramadhan stated that the summons for the examination contained an order to bring. If Bula Edy Mulyadi is not present, investigators will look for his whereabouts and bring him for questioning.
"We will wait if the person concerned is not present to fulfill the second summons, the investigator will pick him up and take him to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police," said Ramadahan.
