Ministry Of Trade Seals DNA Trading Robots That Don't Have Permits
JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Consumer Protection and Trade Order (Ditjen PKTN) and the Commodity Futures Supervisory Agency (Bappebti) of the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) took firm action against the sales of PT DNA Pro Akademi's expert advisor/robot trading. The sealing was carried out because PT DNA did not have a permit.
"This control activity is the result of the supervision findings of PT DNA Pro Akademi, which has carried out business activities selling expert advisors/robot trading using the MLM system," said Director General of PKTN Veri Anggrijono in a statement quoted on Sunday, January 30.
Previously, this business had been sealed by CoFTRA but defied and opened the seal and continued to do business.
Veri continued, this trading company had committed a serious violation because it did not have a license in accordance with its line of business on suspicion of having violated the provisions of Law Number 7 of 2014 concerning Trade.
Meanwhile, Director of Business Order Sihard Hadjopan Pohan explained, based on the provisions of Government Regulation Number 5 of 2021 concerning Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing, direct selling business activities are included in the high risk category.
"Direct selling business actors who do not have business licenses can be subject to criminal provisions. This is in accordance with the provisions in Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation-Trade Sector," said Pohan.Plt.
Head of CoFTRA, Indrasari Wisnu Wardhana, also appealed to the public to be more careful in investing in commodity futures trading.
"The public can check the legality of business actors at www.bappebti.go.id. Meanwhile, business actors are expected to comply with the provisions of Law Number 10 of 2011 concerning Amendments to Law Number 32 of 1997 concerning Commodity Futures Trading," said Wisnu .
