Google Cloud introduced a wave of the latest innovations to encourage organizations in Southeast Asia to become "Agentic Enterprises" at the Google Cloud Next '26 event.

This innovation presents a unified stack that allows companies to move from simple chatbots to autonomous AI agents that are able to understand, reason, and act independently.

Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai said Gemini Enterprise adoption continues to grow, with a 40% growth in paid monthly active users in the first quarter of 2026.

According to him, the focus has now shifted from simply building AI agents to managing thousands of agents at once, so Google introduced the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform as a "mission control" for large-scale AI operations.

Meanwhile, Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said Gemini Enterprise is now an end-to-end system that connects data, people, applications, and AI agents in one intelligent flow.

Around 75% of Google Cloud customers have used AI products, including CIMB Niaga, FairPrice Group, Mars, Merck, NASA, and Virgin Voyages.

In addition to the AI agent platform, Google Cloud also introduced the eighth generation TPU with two architectures, TPU 8t for model training and TPU 8i for inference and fast reasoning.

This infrastructure is claimed to increase performance-per-dollar by up to 80% and allow businesses to serve almost twice the volume at the same cost.

Google Cloud also presents Agentic Data Cloud as an AI-native data architecture that includes Apache Iceberg-based Cross-Cloud Lakehouse, Lightning Engine for Apache Spark that is up to 4.5 times faster, Gemini-based Data Agent Kit, and Knowledge Catalog to build an integrated context.

Over the past 12 months, 330 Google Cloud customers have each processed more than one trillion tokens, while Google's AI models now handle more than 16 billion tokens per minute through customer APIs.
