DAMAC Digital, a global digital infrastructure company headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, officially performed the topping off (roof closure) of the JKT01 data center infrastructure - Jakarta Central in the first quarter of 2026.
This achievement marks the completion of the main structure of the building which was established with a total investment value of 150 million US dollars (approximately Rp. 2.3 trillion). This data center is expected to be operationalized this year.
"Phase one is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2026, as well as proof that we are strengthening the footprint of DAMAC Digital's portfolio across Southeast Asia," said DAMAC Digital Founder Hussain Sajwani in a statement on Thursday, March 12.
He said that this process has been a significant construction phase that has been built in just six months since the groundbreaking stage in August 2025.
He also emphasized the commitment to ensure the completion of this project continues to run smoothly in order to provide sustainable benefits and add value for all business partners and stakeholders in Indonesia.
"This construction milestone highlights our engineering excellence and long-term strategy. With scalable infrastructure, we are ready to support Indonesia's goal of becoming one of the countries with new digital power in Asia," he said.
The JKT-01 building is equipped with facilities as high as six floors located on a land with an area of 3,600 square meters and a building with an area of 15,080 square meters. Later, this building will distribute power of 19.2 MegaWatt (MW).
Hussain Sajwani explained that by adopting a state-of-the-art water-cooling tower system, this facility will be able to accommodate up to 1,350 racks with an average density of 13-15 kW with maximum energy efficiency.
"JKT-01 will have three data halls with an area of around 760 square meters each, which are specifically designed to provide energy efficiency, support sustainable operations, and are in line with global standards for environmentally friendly data centers (green data centers)," he explained.
Hussain added again that the presence of JKT-01 is projected to be able to answer the increasing demand from Cloud Service Providers (CSP) and the spread of edge computing.
Phase one is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2026. "This phase is a testament to DAMAC Digital's portfolio footprint across Southeast Asia, and it starts with Jakarta," he concluded.
