OpenAI Launches GPT-5.3 Instant AI Model, Check Out the Improvement

JAKARTA - OpenAI introduced GPT-5.3 Instant, the latest line of the most widely used Artificial Intelligence (AI) model today. This update comes with many improvements.

OpenAI focuses on improving tone and relevance when searching for information on the web in this version. In the company's tests, GPT-5.3 Instant is claimed to be more effective in balancing online data with internal reasoning capabilities.

This can happen because OpenAI is making changes to the algorithm to reduce the chatbot's rejection rate of safe content submitted by users. GPT-5.3 Instant also minimizes overly defensive or moralistic responses before providing the core answer.

The model showed a 26.8 percent reduction in hallucination rates on high-risk topics such as law and medicine. OpenAI's internal evaluation also noted a 22.5 percent reduction in misinformation in the scenario of using web access.

The ability to write prose and fiction in this version has also been improved to be able to produce more imaginative and in-depth narratives. In addition, the structure of ChatGPT's conversational style is also made more focused and natural by removing unnecessary commands.

However, users are still given control to adjust the level of warmth and enthusiasm in ChatGPT's response manually. This adjustment can be done by setting the menu in the settings.

Despite bringing many improvements, GPT-5.3 Instant still has shortcomings in terms of languages other than English. Responses in Japanese and Korean still sound stiff or the translation is still very literal.

The tone of speech is also still being monitored on an ongoing basis by OpenAI. The company acknowledges that improving natural language in various countries is still a technical challenge they are working on.

GPT-5.3 Instant is now available to the general public and developers through the API with the label 'gpt-5.3-chat-latest'. Meanwhile, support for GPT-5.2 Instant is scheduled to be completely discontinued on June 3.
