Komdigi ensures that the Internet network is stable during the return flow of the Nataru holiday

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital will ensure the readiness of telecommunications services at Soekarno Hatta Airport, during the expected surge in the return flow of the year-end holidays on 3 to 4 January 2026.

"The reverse flow is expected to increase on January 3 and 4, including in the air lane. Therefore, we immediately checked the readiness of the telecommunications network at the airport," said Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Nezar Patria in an official statement quoted on Sunday, December 4.

Nezar stated that the readiness of this telecommunications service is very important for passengers to access flight information, family communication, booking of subsequent transportation, and digital transactions during the trip.

Monitoring results show that service quality is in good condition. In fact, at Terminal 1 of Soekarno Hatta Airport, internet speed was recorded stable at around 120 to 160 Mbps.

Furthermore, the Minister of Communication and Information Nezar also emphasized that there was no spectrum interference during the long holiday period of 2026 Nataru.

"We received reports that the spectrum was safe to use and there was no interference. The readiness of officers in the field also went well," he added.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining telecommunications networks during the backflow.

According to him, a stable network will help passengers stay connected and reduce the risk of service disruptions amid increased traffic.

Nezar also emphasized that his party, through the Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure, together with mobile operators will continue to carry out supervision to maintain service quality.

"Supervision will continue until the peak of the return flow is completed. The government ensures that telecommunications services at the main transport nodes remain ready to serve the community," said Nezar.
