OpenAI Launches a 2025 Retrospective via the 'Your Year with ChatGPT' Feature

JAKARTA - ChatGPT launched an annual review feature called Your Year with ChatGPT. This feature is similar to Spotify Wrapped, where users will get a summary of their activities on ChatGPT.

For now, the feature is only available in several regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. All users, both free and paid, can access the feature if they meet the minimum conversation threshold.

OpenAI, citing TechCrunch, explained that they prioritize user privacy in this feature. Your Year with ChatGPT is designed as a feature that, "lightly, prioritizes privacy, and (can) be controlled by the user."

This feature displays statistics with interesting graphs. Users also get unique rewards based on the pattern of chatbot usage throughout the year, one of which is the Creative Debugger for users who often develop ideas and look for solutions.

In addition to usage statistics, ChatGPT will also create personalized poems and images according to the topics of interest to its users. This concept makes the summary of the chatbot interaction look more creative.

Unfortunately, access to this review is restricted and not available for accounts with the Team, Enterprise, or Education plan. Users are also required to enable the chat history and saved memories reference options for the feature to work.

The last year's rewind can be accessed through the web version of ChatGPT or the mobile application on iOS and Android operating systems (OS). OpenAI will not open the year-end summary automatically or force access to users.

For users who can't wait to access the feature, they can manually trigger the feature through commands. Users only need to type 'Your Year with ChatGPT' in the conversation field. If the feature has not been triggered, OpenAI has not finished expanding the feature.
