JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) announced progress from the AI Talent Factory program. This program, which started in August 2025, has ended its initial period.
Together with Brawijaya University, Komdigi has now graduated the participants of the AI Talent Factory program. This celebration shows that Komdigi has successfully carried out its national program which is designed to increase talent capacity in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
After successfully partnering with Brawijaya University, Komdigi will expand this program with other universities. The institution chose Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) as the next partners.
Several other well-known universities in Indonesia will follow suit to adopt the AI Talent Factory program. The more universities or institutions that are partnered, Komdigi believes that digital talent in the country will also increase.
"We want to improve the digital capabilities of our talents so that they can compete and have a strong enough competitiveness in the midst of the world's AI dynamics," said Deputy Minister of Komdigi Nezar Patria, quoted on Wednesday, December 17.
AI Talent Factory focuses on the Triple C concept, namely Complete, Connect, and Create. Through the Complete approach, participants are expected to access the right education with modules that are always updated according to the latest technological developments.
In the second aspect, namely Connect, graduates are expected to be directly connected to the needs of industry and the practical world. Komdigi wants to ensure that the knowledge gained on the educational bench is in line with the current labor market demand.
The third aspect is Create, an approach that encourages young talent to create real solutions to national problems using AI technology interventions. They are expected to be able to contribute to society through digital expertise.
Through these three approaches, Komdigi projects the strengthening of the sector in national economic growth until 2029. With competent talent, Indonesia is expected to be able to become a key player in the global technology landscape.
"We hope that this education will be the starting point for our young generation to be more enthusiastic and in-depth in digital technology, to support national economic growth," said Nezar.
