JAKARTA Google Photos offers various features that can simplify user activity. One of the features that is quite useful is the ability to delete duplicate photos.

This feature utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) to remove the same pile of photos. With this feature, users can free up storage space quickly without having to see their photos one by one.

This feature will group similar or almost identical photos automatically. That way, users can see any photos that have duplicates and delete the rest easily.

The first step that needs to be done is to ensure that the AI Photo Stacks feature is activated in the Google Photos settings. This setting is very important so that the clustering process can run.

Once the settings are enabled, users can launch the Google Photos app and select the image to focus on. Find indicators of the number of similar images that usually appear in the upper right corner of the screen.

When opening the image, the user will see a message that reads 'main choice' at the top. This is an indicator that the system has selected the best photo in the group.

To delete duplicates, users only need to tap on the 'Save this, delete the rest' option. After a confirmation window appears on the screen, tap the Understand option to complete the deletion of similar files.

This process can be repeated for other photo groups so that users can clean the gallery in seconds. It should be noted, the backup feature must be activated so that the photo stack can work.
