Indonesia Encourages Space Collaboration In 31st APRSAF

JAKARTA Indonesia affirms its commitment to strengthening space cooperation. This was conveyed at the 31st Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF) event in Cebu, Philippines.

BRIN Policy Analyst Happy Rumiris Simanungkalit, a delegation from Indonesia during the Space Leader Roundtable session, stated that collaboration is important in building strong space. This collaboration is believed to be able to encourage various sectors.

Some sectors that are believed to be affected are the economy, research or research, and others in the Asia-Pacific region. Happy also said that this collaboration is not only limited to providing data, but also technology-based services and solutions.

As a research institute in Indonesia, BRIN is committed to facilitating cooperation with various parties. This collaboration often involves research institutions, universities, and industries from other countries. BRIN is also committed to providing resources for strategic research and innovation projects.

Happy also discussed the focus of Indonesia's cooperation carried out in APRSAF-31. This focus includes the latest issues in the space economy, such as funding and changes in market demand.

Another focus is the development and sharing of space infrastructure, such as earth stations and satellite systems. It aims to reduce operational costs and expand access to space technology.

Happy also outlined the need to advance research and innovation through joint projects and scientific exchanges. In addition, Indonesia is determined to strengthen national space policies and regulations in line with the 2045 Golden Indonesia Vision.
