Realme Neo 8 Will Launch Soon, Carry Battery 8,000mAh And Premium Features

JAKARTA - After last month introducing Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro in China, Realme is now preparing to shift its focus to the latest generation Neo line. The Realme Neo 8 series is said to cover several models "Neo 8, Neo 8x, Neo 8 SE, and Neo 8 Turbo" which are scheduled to be released in the coming months on the Chinese market. This series will be the successor to Realme Neo 7, Neo 7x, Neo 7 SE, and Neo 7 Turbo.

According to a recent leak from Smart Pikachu tipster, Realme plans to launch Realme Neo 8 sooner than expected.

In its leak, Smart Pikachu said that Realme Neo 8 will come with a number of interesting improvements. This device is reportedly using a metal center frame, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and a jumbo-capacity battery that is described as 8k+ indicating a 8,000mAh battery or more.

Several previous reports revealed the initial specifications of Realme Neo 8:

Screen: 6.78 inches of flat LTPS OLED with 1.5K resolution

Security: Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the screen

Main camera: 50 megapixels

For the kitchen runway, DCS previously claimed that Realme Neo 8 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. The chip is said to be debuting through the OnePlus Ace 6T which was released this month in China.

However, Smart Pikachu denied the report, saying that the chipset information circulating was not accurate. As a comparison, the Realme Neo 7 which launched in December 2024 uses the Dimensity 9500 Plus chipset. Therefore, it remains to be awaited whether Realme Neo 8 will come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 or still rely on Dimensity 9400+ as its successor.

The official launch of Realme Neo 8 is expected to take place in the near future, and further leaks are likely to appear in the coming weeks.
