JAKARTA - Google announced its latest collaboration with the United Service Organizations (USO), to launch a pilot program supported by Google Beam.

Google Beam is an AI-powered 3D video communication platform, which is a development of the Starline project, a research project with Google's ambitious goal of redefining video communications.

Through cooperation with USO, Google will bring Google Beam to USO centers in the United States (US) and around the world starting next year.

Through our pilot program, the military members who are placed will have the opportunity to feel closer to their families, both in big and small moments, "said General Manager, Google Andrew Nartker on his official blog.

The Google Beam platform will use AI to enable new generation devices that help people create meaningful connections, wherever they are.

Google's advanced AI volumetric video model will make calls appear entirely 3D from any perspective. This model turns the standard 2D video stream into a more realistic 3D experience.

Google Beam builds on Google Cloud's power and scale, combined with Google's AI, which then creates a deep dimensionality and depth impression.

"This is what allows you to make eye contact, read fine signs, and build understanding and trust as if you are meeting face to face," wrote Google.
