Redmi Turbo 5 Ready To Launch November, Carrying Dimensity 8500 And Giant Battery 9,000mAh

Jakarta While the public is waiting for the launch of the Redmi K90 series on October 23 in China, new rumors have emerged about Redmi Turbo 5. According to leaked from the famous Weibo tipster Smart Pikachu, this phone will launch ahead of schedule, even earlier than its predecessor, Redmi Turbo 4.

In his post, Smart Pikachu revealed that Redmi Turbo 5 will be one of the first phones to carry the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra flagship class platform for the medium segment which is also rumored to be used by Oppo Reno 15 Pro, Honor Power 2, and Realme Neo 8. This move is believed to be Redmi's strategy to achieve market advantage early.

In terms of design, the Turbo 5 is said to have a simple camera module with a metal center frame. For safety, this phone will carry an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the screen feature that is rarely encountered in the middle class.

Leaks previously also mentioned that the Redmi Turbo 5 will carry a flat screen of the 1.5K OLED LTPS with a large rounding angle. But what caught the most attention was the battery which is claimed to have a capacity of more than 9,000mAh complete with support for the 100W fast charging. This massive capacity even rivals the mini power bank and is one of the largest in the current smartphone industry.

In addition, the Turbo 5 also reportedly comes with IP68 or IP69 standard water and dust features, which means it can survive even in extreme conditions.

Previously, rumors had mentioned that this phone would launch in the first quarter of 2026. However, the latest report shows that Redmi has accelerated its release schedule to November 2025, after the device received radio certification in China a sign that its debut is imminent.

Redmi is also preparing the Turbo 5 Pro variant, which is said to be launching in the first half of 2026. Interestingly, the rebranding strategy is likely to happen again. After the Poco X7 Pro became the global version of Redmi Turbo 4, now rumors say Poco X8 Pro which has passed the European EEC certification will be the revised version of the Redmi Turbo 5 for the international market.

With a combination of tough performance, high durability, and monster batteries, Redmi Turbo 5 seems ready to shake the mid-range segment later this year and at the same time challenge new limits on power efficiency in the smartphone world.
