Google Releases Wear OS 6 For Pixel Watch 2 And Pixel Watch 3

JAKARTA Google has launched a Wear OS 6 update for a number of smartwatches. This update is presented for two types of devices, namely Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Watch 3.

This firmware update, based on Android 16, comes with the build number BP3A.250905.014.W3. This launched firmware includes Bluetooth/Wi-Fi models as well as LTE models from both Pixel Watch generations.

The launch of Wear OS 6 was carried out ahead of Pixel Watch 4. Unfortunately, this update was not present for the first generation Pixel Watch even though the device was promised an update until October this year.

This Wear OS 6 update features a comprehensive redesign of Material 3 Expressive at the interface. This update includes keypads of updated keyplay, Fast Settings, and notifications.

This design change also provides a fresher and more cohesive look. The main features brought to this update are Dynamic Colors based on the appearance of the clock used. This color theme will be applied to notifications, Tiles, and several applications.

Some of the main applications have also been redesigned and activated, including the Alarm, Stopwatch, and Timer applications. These applications come with a harmonious design and an updated icon.

To update this operating system (OS), users are advised to visit the Play Store after installation to get additional applications such as Wear Media and Pixel Weather. The update process can be accelerated by disabling Bluetooth to forcibly enable Wi-Fi.
