IPhone Air Leaks Gives Directions About IPhone Fold's Future IPhone Fold

Jakarta - iPhone Air may have given a glimpse of what the iPhone Fold looks like to be anticipated in 2026 or at least half of its shape.

The iPhone Air is a huge deviation from Apple's signature iPhone design. However, although this model doesn't have to be high-specification, it shows where Apple's design direction is for the iPhone Fold.

In the "Power On" bulletin for Boloomberg, Mark Gurman discusses the anticipated iPhone Fold coming in 2026. In terms of style, he repeatedly gets information, which is rather clear, that users should imagine two units of adjacent iPhone Air.

In addition to the large screen size of one large hinge screen instead of two separate screen panels, thickness is the second element to watch out for. Previous reports suspected that the iPhone Fold should be as thin as the iPhone Air when it opened for use.

This is a somewhat less surprising design concept, especially given Apple's search to create a thinner hardware. Since the iPhone Fold will be at least twice as thick as it closes, it needs to be as thin as possible when it opens.

Gurman went on to say that he believes the iPhone Fold will be very expensive, costing consumers at least $ 2,000, making it very expensive compared to the regular iPhone. For its launch time, Gurman anticipates launches in the fall of 2026, just like any other leaked source.

In terms of producing the iPhone Fold, Gurman said Apple is still working with suppliers and assembly partners to improve it.

While production will at least be made in China through Foxconn's longtime partner, India is also a possibility. Given Apple's switch to producing its main line iPhone in India, this makes sense in some ways.

Part of the reason is because Apple's diversification strategy to avoid problems such as global events affecting sales and production. However, while Apple seems free from tariff problems for imports from China to the US for now, it can always change in today's turbulent political climate.

The production claim in India is consistent with a report from September 18, which states that Apple is building a pilot production line in Taiwan, before replicating its final process in India.
