JAKARTA Gemini managed to top-flight the list of Apple's Best Free Apps on the App Store, beating its competitors ChatGPT. This achievement can be seen in the special App Store in the US.

Most likely, the peak of this popularity is supported by a new image editing feature called Nano Banana. The application also now includes more features combined in drop-drown.

As of September 12, the Google chatbot application was still at the top. Meanwhile, ChatGPT as its closest rival dropped to second place. Third place in the free application category is occupied by Threads, Meta's platform.

This is a very important achievement for Google. Nano Banana managed to attract many new users in just a few weeks. Launching from 9to5google, Gemini attracted 23 million new users from August 26 to September 9.

Nano Banana, a feature that can make photo polaroids based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and 3D miniatures, has also been used more than 500 million times. This shows how much public interest in this feature is.

Nano Banana's popularity is driven by its ability to maintain character resemblance when editing images. Users can also combine multiple photos, transfer styles, and edit conversations.
