JAKARTA The trial period of the multi-language audio feature on YouTube has finally ended. The video platform under Google will officially launch its features to creators in various parts of the world.
With this feature, creators can add dubbing or sulih votes in various languages to reach new audiences globally. This feature will roll out in stages to millions of creators in the coming weeks.
"Now, when a YouTube creator in the US releases a new video, in a matter of minutes, a fan in Korea, a fan in Brazil, and a fan in India can watch it in their native language," YouTube said, quoted on Thursday, September 11.
This feature was first tested in 2023 with a small number of large creators such as MrBeast, Mark Rober, and chef Jamie Oliver. Initially, creators often used third-party clubbing services to implement this feature.
However, with the built-in clubbing feature from YouTube, creators no longer need to rely on third-party services. In fact, the clubbing from YouTube is already quite sophisticated because it is powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI).
This technology uses Gemini Google to accurately imitate creator tones and emotions. Thus, the process of creating multi-language content can be easier and more efficient.
YouTube reported positive results during this feature being tested. Creators who upload multi-language audio get more than 25 percent of the time to watch from languages other than the main language of their videos.

Like Jamie Oliver's channel, for example, the YouTuber has tripled views. This shows that YouTube's AI-based clubbing feature is promising.
Apart from clubbing, YouTube is also testing the multi-language thumbnail feature. Since last June, creators have been able to adjust thumbnails to display text in other languages. This feature is intended for international audiences.
This localized Thumbnail is designed to display text that matches the language of audience choice. Thus, the visual appeal of content can increase and encourage more viewers from various countries.
The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
