JAKARTA YouTube has begun to expand testing of the carousel features resulting from Artificial Intelligence (AI) searches to more Premium users. This expansion is done to receive more input.

This experimental feature was first introduced last June, specifically for Premium YouTube subscribers in the US. Google, the company that oversees YouTube, then expands its features to Android and iOS devices until August 20.

For users who use YouTube Premium, they can try this experimental feature. Later, the carousel will appear at the top of the search results when the user tries to search for certain content.

This carousel will help users find content quickly. This feature will also display a video line that is considered relevant to search results. The video will include a brief description generated by AI.

For example, when searching for 'holiday destinations in Singapore', users will produce selected videos with a summary of AI. With this feature, users can go directly to relevant content without having to scroll for too long.

For now, this search result carousel with AI is only available on YouTube mobile apps and only supports videos in English. This feature also doesn't appear for every search query.

Even though it has been expanded, Google is still focused on expanding in the US so users outside the region have not been able to register. If the latest expansion runs smoothly, the feature will be extended to other regions after August.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
