PT KAI Partners With Zimbra To Strengthen Cyber Resilience

JAKARTA PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) has formed partnerships with Zimbra, an open-source-based email and collaboration platform. This collaboration is established to strengthen digital resilience in the public sector.

Currently, technology is growing rapidly so that the type of cyber threat is growing rapidly. In line with this trend, the public sector also needs the right data protection so that the digital infrastructure used remains safe.

Through this partnership, PT KAI has changed its old email system. Now, they use the Zimbra platform which is claimed to be safer and easier to develop. The company's internal communication is ensured to remain safe and reliable.

"When institutions such as PT KAI modernize their communication infrastructure according to national mandate related to data, Zimbra is ready to support a safe and in line with Indonesian regulations," said Marcus Teo, Zimbra's Chief Revenue Officer, in a statement.

Marcus added that this partnership will strengthen Zimbra's commitment to supporting national digital resilience. While using Zimbra Network Edition, the service from Zimbra, PT KAI will have full control over its communication infrastructure.

On the other hand, PT KAI believes that this partnership will make their operational network smoother. In addition, Zimbra's integrated email service is believed to be able to prepare challenges in the future.
