JAKARTA The Canva editing application is now integrated with Claude, Anthropic's Artificial Intelligence (AI) model. Through this integration, users can easily create and edit designs.

Users can interact directly with Canva without the need to switch platforms. They only need to submit a prompt in the chat room and the AI model will edit, according to the command submitted by the user.

Users can create presentations with their personal notes, change the image size, or fill out edited templates automatically. Users can also search for keywords in their Canva Docs, Presentation, and templates.

After obtaining the desired content in Claude's search results, users can give follow-up commands as directed to summarize the content. All of these capabilities come thanks to the server's Context Protocol (MCP) Model launched by Canva last month.

MCP provides Claude with secure access to various Canva content. This protocol is often referred to as a 'USB-C port for AI applications' and becomes an open source standard that connects AI models to other apps and services.

"Instead of manually uploading or transferring ideas, users can now create, summarize, review, and publish Canva designs, all in Claude's chat," explained Anwar Haneef, Canva's Head of Ecosystem, quoted on Tuesday, July 15.

Launching from The Verge, this integration can be accessed if users have paid accounts on Canva and Claude. Subscription costs in Canva start from 15 US dollars (Rp224 thousand) per month, while Claude's subscription fee is around 17 US dollars (Rp276 thousand) per month.

This integration is Anthropic's latest attempt to expand Claude's ability to third-party services. Previously, the company also connected Claude to other services such as Figma, Notion, Stripe, and Prisma.
