XAI Launches The Grok 4 Model And The Most Expensive AI Subscription Package

JAKARTA xAI, Elon Musk's Artificial Intelligence (AI) company, officially launched the most advanced AI model from xAI, which was launched simultaneously with the most expensive subscription package for Grok.

Grok 4 is claimed to be a very sophisticated AI model because of its ability to understand difficult topics. Even this AI model is claimed to be able to work on the most difficult academic problems designed for the needs of doctoral programs.

"Regarding academic questions, Grok 4 is better than the PhD level in all subjects, without exception," Elon Musk said in a live broadcast of the launch of Grok 4, quoted via TechCrunch on Friday, July 11.

There are two models launched by xAI, namely Grok 4 and Grok 4 Heavy. Both offer performance improvements, but Grok 4 Heavy is able to overcome heavier workloads. This AI model is a multi-agent version with advanced capabilities.

Grok 4 Heavy was able to work on several problems simultaneously through several agents. The resulting answers will be compared to find the best solution. The model was able to reach a score of 44.4 percent, almost double as superior to Gemini 2.5 Pro.

Although it seems very sophisticated, Grok 4 can experience a bit of a flaw as it just rolled out. Musk said that this model, "may not make sense (sometimes), and hasn't found any new technology or new physics yet, but it's just a matter of time."

xAI also launched the SuperGrok Heavy package which is the most expensive AI subscription offer on the market. This package is priced at 300 US dollars or around IDR 4.8 million per month. By subscribing to this package, customers can access Grok 4 and other exclusive features.

SuperGrok Heavy subscribers will gain early access to several new products that will be launched xAI in the coming months. It has not been disclosed what products the company will launch.
