JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Nezar Patria, emphasized that Indonesia's position as one of the developing countries is actively transforming the principles of ethical and inclusive intelligence (AI) into the framework of concrete regulations.

Speaking in front of ministers and top officials of UNESCO member countries at the Ministerial Session forum, Nezar stated that Indonesia had taken various steps to implement UNESCO Recommendation on the Ethics of AI (2021).

"Indonesia has integrated the principles of ethics and inclusiveness of UNESCO AI into making real policies and governance," Nezar said in its official broadcast on Wednesday, June 25.

According to Nezar, the integration includes the development of AI's national strategy to immediately proceed with the issuance of AI regulations in the near future.
