JAKARTA - The All England Lawn Tennis Club and IBM announced the launch of new digital experiences based on artificial intelligence (AI) which will be present at The Championships, Wimbledon 2025.

One of the innovations to be introduced is Match Chat, an interactive AI assistant who can answer fan questions during a single game.

Match Chat will be available on the Wimbledon app and on the official website wimbledon.com. Fans can interact with this assistant through a prompt that has been prepared, and this feature will provide answers based on match analysis.

In addition, there is also a Likelihood to Win (Post of Winning) feature that has been perfected, and now offers a projected victory opportunity that continues to be updated as the game goes on.

This feature utilizes IBM technology, including the Red Hat Openshift, which allows developers to build, implement and scale applications quickly and efficiently in various ecosystems.

These features are expected to offer fans more ways to interact with all the interesting actions of the men's and women's singles matches while they are in progress.

"We are committed to providing the best Wimbledon experience to fans, either via TV, radio, digital, or directly on the pitch," said Usama Al-Qassab, Marketing & Commercial Director, All England Club in a statement, quoted on Sunday, June 22.

He hopes that these new features will encourage Wimbledon viewers to be more involved in the experience of watching and enjoying the match in a way that has never existed before.

"Our 35-year partnership with the All England Club is one example of how IBM can help clients maximize and realize sustainable value of their unique data through AI technology," concluded Jonathan Adashek, IBM Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications.

The Wimbledon Championships will take place from June 30 - July 13, 2025. To try this technology, visit the wimbledon.com or download the Wimbledon App on your mobile device on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
