JAKARTA Google presents the ability to summarize PDF on Google Drive automatically. With this capability, users no longer need to activate Gemini manually when they want to summarize.

Gemini has been on Google Drive since mid-year ago. Users can submit any order to the Artificial Intelligence (AI) model, including making a summary. However, this needs to be done manually.

Users need to apply for a prompt to get a summary. However, now it's no longer because the PDF summary card will appear directly on Google Drive, of course when the user opens this type of file.

The summary card will appear on the right side of the screen like a pop-up. According to Google's explanation, the card will appear automatically and Gemini will immediately summarize the content in the file.

Not only summaries in the form of points, users will also see some recommendation options that can be directly tapped. There are options such as 'making a draft example proposal' and 'making a list of interview questions based on this resume'.

"The PDF summary card saves your time by providing the essence of your file and helps you start using Gemini faster by displaying relevant clickable action options," Google said, quoted on Monday, June 16.

This feature works in dozens of languages, including Arabic, Chinese, English, German, Greek, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, Spanish, Thai, and many more. This feature is still being launched in stages until 27 June.

Gemini on Google Drive is only available to paid subscribers. That way, this automatic PDF summary feature can only be used by users who subscribe to Google Woorkspace, Google AI Pro and Ultra, or other paid services.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
