JAKARTA Twilio is now partnering with Microsoft in accelerating efforts to adopt conversational solutions based on Artificial Intelligence (AI). This collaboration was disclosed at the SIGNAL annual event on May 16.

Twilio believes that this partnership can build more interactive digital interactions between businesses and consumers. This collaboration is also believed to open up new opportunities for more than 10 million app developers who take advantage of Twilio.

"We see how AI can help improve the quality of such interactions in real terms," said Inbal Shani, Twilio Chief Product Officer. "AI conversations strengthen business-customers interactions by providing Twilio users with precise information."

In this partnership, Twilio and Microsoft will collaborate in developing AI conversation solutions. They will build a solution on Microsoft Azure AI Foundry and Twilio's customer platform that combines contextual data with AI.

There are several focuses emphasized in this collaborative innovation. The two companies will develop the ability of AI agents that can work in various communication channels to automate and improve the quality of interaction.

In addition, they will develop AI agents that can help human agents at service centers with the capabilities of Twilio Agent Copilot. To improve and strengthen digital interactions between businesses and customers, they will build multi-modal solutions.

"Combination of Azure AI Foundry and Twilio's communication and data capabilities will produce strong business value for customers. This solution will be the last important point to determine how strong the interaction between business and its customers is," said Asha Sharma, Corporate Vice President of Azure AI Microsoft Platform.
