JAKARTA - The latest Twilio survey conducted during the 2025 Barcelona Mobile World Congress (MWC), revealed that nearly half of the professionals in the mobile industry have used RCS.
Most (60%) of respondents using RCS stated that RCS had a "very positive" impact on their communication with customers.
Where RCS provides a better user experience (53%), richer media sharing capabilities (29%), and can also increase trust with verified sender features (18%).
Respondents also observed various positive impacts from RCS on their communications with customers. The most obvious impact is increased security (37%), followed by more efficient communication (25%), creating deeper (17%) relationships, increasing investment yields (11%), and strengthening customer confidence (10%).
Although 56 percent of respondents admit that they have not implemented the RCS, there has been a significant trend towards increasing adoption. Where in the next 12 months, nearly three-quarters (71%) of industry professionals surveyed in the MWC plan to adopt the RCS.
Of these, 14 percent plan to implement RCS in all possible forms of interaction, while 20 percent will use RCS for most interactions, and 37 percent for certain interactions.

However, the lack of knowledge is still an obstacle for nearly a third (30%) of business organizations in implementing RCS.
"Although currently the popularity of RCS is still concentrated in America and Europe, several countries in Asia including Singapore have begun to move towards implementing this safer new message standard," said Irfan Ismail, Regional Vice President, ISV Business for APJ in Twilio.
