JAKARTA Apple Intelligence has provided the Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature since launching iOS 18 and this feature is integrated with third-party applications. However, reportedly Meta blocked the support.

When launching Apple Intelligence in a stable launch, some of the AI features in it can be used in various applications by default. However, developers are allowed to get rid of their apps from Apple Intelligence support.

This turned out to be done by Meta, according to a Brazilian Sorcererhat Tech report. Writing Tools features such as the ability to create, modify, and correct text are no longer usable across the Meta app, be it Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp.

Meta is believed to block the Writing Tools feature because previously Apple's AI features could work across its social media. However, in recent times, the Writing Tools option on Instagram to WhatsApp is not available.

Not only Writing Tools, Meta also blocks other Apple Intelligence features such as Genmoji, a tool for creating special emojis. The ability to add keyboard stickers and Memojis to Instagram Stories has also been removed.

This blocking is not surprising because Meta has built-in AI features on its platform. The company has provided Meta AI on almost all of its platforms, even on messaging platforms like WhatsApp.

Thus, users can interact with the chatbot instead of utilizing Apple Intelligence. Almost the same as Writing Tools, Meta AI can also be used to create, repair, or change any text.

In fact, Meta AI can also produce images according to the prompt submitted. Unfortunately, Meta AI doesn't provide a Genmoji replacement feature so iOS users can't create and use custom emojis on Meta's platform.
