JAKARTA - Samsung Electronics announced its latest partnership with NVIDIA on March 12. These two technology companies will develop AI-RAN technology for communication networks.

Through this partnership, Samsung wants to show that they are still committed to developing a resilient ecosystem. By developing AI-RAN, Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be smoother and easier to adopt in mobile networks.

The announced partnership is a continuation of the collaboration since last year. Samsung said that they had been working with NVIDIA for a long time, their success has been evident from the smooth integration of NVIDIA's accelerated computing.

The development of AI-RAN with NVIDIA was revealed through the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event in 2025. From this collaboration, Samsung will continue to explore the combination of AI-RAN by utilizing NVIDIA's Samsung vRAN.

"While AI is reshaping the telecommunications landscape, Samsung is helping operators build the right architecture and network environment where AI can thrive, all supported by our proven and AI-backed vRAN," said June Moon, Executive Vice President at Samsung Electronics.

Moon added that this partnership is a sustainable effort to expand the GPU ecosystem and CPUs, as well as explore more improvements in the future.

On the other hand, NVIDIA said that AI-RAN technology is very important in supporting transformative communication. The hope is that through this partnership, NVIDIA can develop the latest AI services more quickly.

"Samsung is a pioneer in AI-RAN development. Their vRAN skills and software that are integrated with NVIDIA AI acceleration computing will accelerate the path to an AI-based wireless network," saidrocky Vasishta, Senior Vice President of Telecommunications NVIDIA.
