Vivo Y29s 5G Officially Launched: 90Hz Screen, Dimensity 6300, And Military-style Body

Vivo has officially introduced the Vivo Y29s 5G as the latest addition in the Y29 series, which previously included Vivo Y29 (4G) and Y29 (5G). The product from China is now listed on Vivo's global website with full specifications.

Vivo Y29s 5G comes with a 6.74-inch LCD screen designed by waterdrop notch, 1600 x 720 pixel resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and a maximum brightness level of 570 nits.

The kitchen is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a 6nm fabrication-based chipset, combined with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB emMC 5.1 storage. If storage is still lacking, users can add it up to 2TB through a microSD slot.

In the photography sector, this device has a dual rear camera with a 50MP main sensor and an additional 0.08MP sensor. Meanwhile, for selfies and video calls, there is a 5MP front camera. Vivo Y29s 5G runs Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15.

For durability, this device is equipped with a 5.500mAh battery that supports 15W charging. The security system relies on a side fingerprint scanner.

In terms of connectivity, the Vivo Y29s 5G supports Wi-Fi 2.4GHz/5GHz, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, and GPS. NFC is available in some areas, but is not present in Malaysia. In terms of resilience, this smartphone has IP64 certification for dust and water protection, as well as SGS certification and military standard shock resistance.

The dimension of this device is 167.30 x 76.95 x 8.19 mm weighing 199 grams.

The official price of the Vivo Y29s 5G has not been announced, but this device will be available in the 8GB+256GB variant as well as two color choices, namely Titanium Gold and Jade Green.
