Badminton, Mini Dog Robot That Can Jump, Dance, And Land On The Table

JAKARTA At the 2025 China National People's Congress, a mini dog robot namedTU stole attention with its compact design, flexible movement, and intelligent interaction capabilities. Developed by Hengbot,iri is not just an ordinary four-legged robot, but an interactive friend who is light and can be adapted for entertainment and technology development.

Hengbot confirmed thathe would launch around May or June, opening a new category for desk-friendly pet robots.

Unlike big industrial dog robots from companies like Boston Dynamics or Xiaomi, why only weighs 850 grams, it's light enough to be placed on the palms. The robot has 14 degrees of freedom, allowing it to move naturally, including walking, jumping, to dancing.

Hengbot designed a bionic linkage structure, so that the robot's legs mimic natural movements with high mechanical efficiency. Users can increase the power system by replacing the actuator unit, similar to increasing the motor on high performance remote control cars. In addition, the adjustable shell allows the owner to change the appearance of the robot, such as replacing the phone's casing.

This robot is equipped with a microphone system and camera simulations. The robot also supports drag-and-drop teaching mode, allowing users to create a sequence of moves without the need for programming skills. By recording movements through software and physically demonstrating them, users can trainengers to perform various tricks, from basic actions to complicated dance choreography.

This is equipped with a touch sensor on the head, display screen, camera, speaker, SD card slot, USB port, as well as ear buttons for additional controls and adjustments.

With a dimension of 250\times130\times250mm, this robot remains compact but capable of supporting loads of up to 300 grams. This can operate at a temperature of 10-30$C with a battery life of more than 45 minutes and a maximum speed of 0.4 m/s.

The operating system is Linux-based and supports programming in C, C++, and Python, making it an ideal platform for developers. The robot uses the PD30W power interface for fast and efficient charging.

Before entering the retail market,tip will debut through the Kickstarter campaign at an estimated price of between 500 to 600 US dollars (Rp8.7 - 10.4 million). After the crowdfunding stage, the robot will be available on platforms like Amazon, targeting technology enthusiasts, hobbyists, and AI developers looking for interactive platforms.
