Towards his 45th anniversary, BINUS University is again cooperating with Microsoft, to integrate Microsoft's AI technology into operational activities and learning systems at universities.
Integration of AI technology into BINUS operational activities has started in 2021, starting from designing data-based planning, assisting teaching staff in completing administrative documents, to supporting better decisions in institutional management.
By integrating Microsoft Azure Machine Learning technology, BINUS can now predict the number of student admissions on each campus, including those outside Jakarta, with an increase in the accuracy of student admission predictions by 90%.
"By adopting AI technology, universities can create a more inclusive and adaptive learning environment. That is why, we cooperate with our old partner Microsoft, to integrate AI responsibly into various operational activities and learn to teach universities," said Stephen Wahyudi Santoso, President of BINUS Higher Education & Professional Services.
In addition, as the latest innovation step, BINUS University has now added a summary to DPI to provide a brief overview of the student's main achievements.
Assisted by the AI genrative based on the Azure OpenAI Service, the creation of the summary can be done faster than if done manually, while maintaining information accuracy.
In the future, BINUS is in the process of integrating AI genratives into more university activities, such as:
AI in the Library for Richer Literatur Access: Generative AI in the library will provide book recommendations that are adapted to student majors and needs, based on a history of borrowing and academic trends.
