JAKARTA - Google Indonesia together with the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) launched Gemini Academy for MSMEs, an AI training program for export and non-export businesses in the country.
Indonesia itself was chosen as the first country in the world to gain access to a generative AI training from Google, to help businesses become more productive, efficient, and reach more customers across the country and the world.

Later, Gemini Academy participants for MSMEs will receive training ranging from promotion engineering, such as writing effective commands for AI, to industrial competition analysis.
In addition, they will also learn to translate AI results into formats relevant for business, as well as design strategies based on the analysis.
In addition to launching this inaugural program, Google also provided 500 scholarships for Google Career Certificate to ASN Kemendag to take the 'AI Essentials' course, one of the most popular AI courses on the Coursera learning platform.
Program registration will be opened every month throughout 2025. Registration information for export MSMEs will be announced through the PPEJP Ministry of Trade's social media accounts, the Ministry of Trade's DJPEN, and the Ministry of Trade, while non-export MSMEs can access announcements through the Social Media account of the PMSE and Trade Directorate of Services and the Ministry of Trade.
