Apple Prepares Its First Folding Device, Combined IPhone And IPad?

JAKARTA - Apple is one of the few major smartphone brands that have not released folding devices. However, various rumors continue to emerge regarding the presence of a folding iPhone or iPad. Now, the latest leak from China has again revealed details regarding Apple's first foldable device size and design.

This information comes from the famous tipster, Digital Chat Station, which shares its leaks via Weibo. According to him, Apple's first foldable device will have an external screen measuring 5.49 inches, while the foldable main screen is 7.74 inches.

Although the screen specifications are still unknown with certainty, this source claims that Apple is making major innovations in its foldable device concept.

When compared to a notebook-style foldable phone that usually has a box-shaped main screen, this Apple device is said to combine the experience of iPhone and iPad in one device. In other words, this device will look more like a foldable iPad.

In terms of design, this device is also compared to Oppo Find N, but is said to have a thicker and shorter body than the foldable phone made by Oppo.

Unfortunately, Apple's first foldable device is still in the development stage and is expected to be released in 2026. Based on previous leaks, this device is more inclined towards the Fold concept than Flip, and is likely to use Samsung's screen.

So far, there has been no further information regarding the features, specifications, or prices. However, with the increasing number of leaks circulating, Apple seems to be increasingly serious about entering the foldable device market in the next few years.
