JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Nezar Patria said that the Ministry of Communication and Industry is preparing digital talents who master programming skills or visual coding that will target students starting from grade 5 elementary school.
According to him, this program is intended so that children have been introduced with skills training and mastery of the latest technology in the future, along with the rapid growth of technology.
"The target is that the 5th grade elementary school coding is introduced. Later in grade 6, they can learn again. After graduating from junior high school, it is hoped that their ability to absorb and also practice coding is much better," said Nezar in his official broadcast quoted Thursday, February 20.
Because according to Nezar, the junior high school level is a very important level to go to next level education such as SMA, SMK, Universities or learn more about digital skills.
"We have provided this from an early age, later how we hope the next developments will be useful for them," he added.

The Ministry of Communication and Mineral Resources BPSDM has also prepared a special platform for the Learning Management System or the Maritime Affairs application which makes it easier for elementary school students to get to know and learn code visually.
