JAKARTA - Telkomsel and Mastercard launched a Privacy Protection service, designed to detect, monitor, prevent, and resolve potential misuse of customer personal data.
Supported by Mastercard ID Theft Protection technology, Privacy Protection can monitor up to 14 important types of data, including population identity, passport, phone number, email, social media accounts, to financial information.
"Through a strategic collaboration with Mastercard, we hope this service can provide a sense of calm for customers," said Telkomsel VP Digital Lifestyle, Lesley Simpson in his official broadcast quoted Tuesday, February 11.
This Mastercard technology will explore the entire internet layer, including the dark web, to detect data leakage and potential misuse of information.
So, in the event of an incident, customers will receive real-time notifications as well as settlement guidelines to protect personal data, prevent financial losses, and protect their reputation.
