BEKASI - The Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs will build a new Digital Talent Center (DTC), which will be located in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), Kalimantan.

Previously, Komdigi already had several DTCs in different locations, including in Cikarang, Bandung, Manado, Surabaya, Jakarta, Medan, Makassar, and Banjarmasin.

Plt. Head of the HR Development Agency of the Ministry of Komdigi, Hary Budiarto, said that the construction of the DTC in IKN was a request from the South Korean government.

Where according to Hary, through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), South Korea allocated Rp150 billion to build the digital talent training center.

"So for the DTC in IKN, this is a request from the South Korean government. The goal is how the ASN in IKN really has digital capabilities with the people in East Kalimantan Province," said Hary after the Kick Off Program and Performance of BPSDM Komdigi 2025 on Friday, January 24 in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency.

The construction of the DTC IKN is still going through the submission stage from Bappenas to KOICA in Jakarta, where KOICA Jakarta will then present the proposal to KOICA in South Korea.

He also targets the construction of DTC in IKN to be completed by 2027. According to Hary, there has been a recent massive demonstration in South Korea.

"Because this is a riot in Korea, we were delayed. I have promised OIKN, in 2027 the construction has been completed. So the OIKN provides the land, the Korean government builds the facilities," he added.

This collaboration involves various South Korean digital institutions, including the KISDI (Korea Information Society Development Institute) as an executing agency, as well as the NIPA (National IT Industry Promotion Agency) which previously provided assistance of IDR 6 billion per year for artificial intelligence (AI) training and programming (coding) in Indonesia.

The DTC, which will be built in an area of 3.75 hectares, will have the same function as DTC in other regions, namely to equip ASN and surrounding communities with qualified technological capabilities.

"So the program is the same for DTC. So we are targeting people, students, graduates and employees, and leaders. So there are 5 segments that we are targeting," said Hary.
