Robinhood Markets Trials New Crypto Wallet And Transfer Feature, Beginners Will Be Interested

JAKARTA - Robinhood Markets Inc is testing a new crypto wallet and cryptocurrency transfer feature for its app that allows customers to send and receive digital currencies such as bitcoin.

"The beta version of its iPhone app demonstrates the company's work on those features," said a report released by Bloomberg News on Monday, September 20.

There is also a hidden image showing a waiting list page for users signing up for the crypto wallet feature, the report added. A spokesman for Robinhood declined to comment.

The company's retail shareholders have been waiting for this crypto wallet for a long time. The day before the broker announced its first quarterly results last month, the top question on Say, a platform that allows companies to solicit inquiries from retail investors, was “do brokers get wallets like that?”.

Trading app operators have bet big on retail investor interest in the digital currency space. Earlier this month, the company said it would launch crypto recurring investing, which allows users to purchase digital coins commission-free and for as little as 1 US dollar on a schedule of their choice.
