Jeff Bezos Employee Leaves Company Amid Heat Of Moon Mission Contract Protest

JAKARTA - After a mission into space some time ago, Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin was reportedly abandoned by his employees. Most include engineers working on projects to the Moon.

Seeing its employees leave the company, Blue Origin awarded them a $10,000 bonus in an effort to retain workers. Unfortunately, the Blue Origin employees were not tempted and made up their minds to go to competing companies, including SpaceX and Firefly Aerospace.

Citing Slashgear, Monday, August 23, none of the workers specifically explained why they left Blue Origin. However, there were reviews from employees on the Glassdoor website pointing to the company's poor management and slow bureaucracy as reasons for leaving.

It is known that many aerospace companies are competing for contracts with NASA for various manned missions to space, and in particular to the Moon, dubbed Artemis.

SpaceX won more contracts and handled more missions than any other competitor. Recently, SpaceX was awarded a multibillion-dollar contract to carry out the Artemis mission.

However, Blue Origin did not accept SpaceX's victory in the contract. Late last month, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) gave a clear reason why only SpaceX was selected for the Moon lander contract.

GAO pointed to SpaceX because it costs much less and has a better record than other offerings. Limited funds were also cited as the main reason that only one company was chosen.
