Hyundai Staria, The Best MPV Candidate In 2022 Now Enters The Indonesian Market

JAKARTA – One of the MPV car products from the Hyundai family, is now included in the ranks of the 2022 World car of the Year. Hyundai Staria, now will soon launch in the country, through PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMDI).

The presence of Hyundai Staria in Indonesia can make the premium MPV market in Indonesia even more crowded. This MPV is said to be a competitor to the Toyota Alphard.

According to Makmur, Chief Operating Officer of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia, his party is proud to present Staria, which provides a luxurious experience for loyal customers in Indonesia.

Staria only has one engine choice, namely a 2,200 cc diesel with an 8-speed automatic transmission option. There are two variants offered by Hyundai Motors Indonesia, namely the nine-passenger version of the Signature 9 at a price of IDR 888 million and the more exclusive seven-passenger version of the Signature 7 for IDR 1.02 billion.

Hyundai Motors Indonesia also ensures that Staria is not a replacement for the H-1, these two models will be sold together. Staria is an MPV whose class is more luxurious than the H-1.

The car has also been sold to world markets, such as the United States and the European Union. To qualify for the prestigious award as the world's best car, a car must be new and sold in at least two major markets, such as the United States, Latin America, Europe, China, India, Japan, and Korea, on at least two continents. To get the 2022 Car of the year designation, it must enter the world market from January 1, 2021 to March 30, 2022.

Hyundai Staria itself has fulfilled that requirement. It has even been nominated and passed the first leg of the competition. For the next leg competition will be judged by 102 judges from 33 countries. The MPV is scheduled to head to Los Angeles for an official media test drive event in November.
