Luxury! PlayStation 5 Game Console New Design

JAKARTA - Sony has finally shown the form of its newest console, the PlayStation 5 (PS5). Luxury, that's the first impression when you look at Sony's future (next-gen) console design.

Through YouTube and Twich channels, Sony presented its new console at the PS5: The Future of Gaming event on Friday morning. Sony shows the entire PS5 console, where the combination of white, black with a little blue LED accent adds to the impression of luxury.

Overall, the appearance of Sony's new design is different from the PlayStation 4 which carries a full black color. This black and white color combination will also be applied to other supporting accessories such as headphones, HDcam and DualSense controllers.

"This console will bring a significant evolution of the new gaming experience. PS5 also answers gamers' expectation of a more realistic and captivating graphics quality," said Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO, Jim Ryan, at the launch event, Friday, June 12.

The PS5 will come in two variants, namely the standard and digital versions which gamers can choose according to their needs. The standard version of the PlayStation 5 will still carry a blu-ray slot for those who still want to play the physical version of the game. Meanwhile, the 'Digital Edition' is for those who rely more on digital versions of games.

So far, Sony has not disclosed the price for this new console. But certainly, Sony has scheduled the launch of the PlayStation 5 at the 2020 holiday season or later this year.

Not only showing the form of a future game console, Sony also announced several new games that will fill the PS5 line up later. Starting from Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Gran Turismo 7, Horizon Zero Dawn 2: Forgotten West, Resident Evil VIII Village, Hitman 3, Racthet and Clank: Rift Apart, to Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V.
