Inspired By Apple, Coinbase Will Launch Crypto App Store App Store

JAKARTA – Cryptocurrency trading company Coinbase was inspired by mobile phone maker Apple Inc to create its own app store. That's why Coinbase was compelled to create a Crypto App Store.

Launching News.Bitcoin.com, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong admits that he is inspired by Apple which has built every application for the iPhone. This is part of empowering developers and making it easier for mobile users to access their latest applications.

"Apple doesn't try to build every app for the iPhone, but empowers developers and makes it easy for mobile users to access the latest innovative apps," said Armstrong.

The Coinbase blog post also reveals that Brian Armstrong is designing a number of opportunities in the crypto space that the Nasdaq-listed company is currently working to realize. Among those opportunities is “building a crypto app store.”

"Like the internet, or mobile app stores, we're seeing developers rushing into the realm of using these new tools to develop innovative tools that we couldn't have imagined before," said Armstrong.

He also added that his party will work for its users to provide easy access to the crypto app store of Coinbase products.

“We will work to give our users easy access to all of these from the main Coinbase products.”

Armstrong openly revealed that he needed to do the same with Apple, only not in the realm of cellphones but in the world of crypto.

“We need to do the same [as Apple] in crypto. There are now 10 billion dollars of economic activity running on Dapps, and new trends emerge every three months.”

“Soon any app built on decentralized crypto rails will be accessible to users of the Coinbase app… In the future you will have the option to do your own crypto storage, directly in the main Coinbase app.”
