Director General of Digital Ecosystems at the Ministry of Communications, Edwin Hidayat Abdullah, said that the application called the National Registration Check is planned to be launched in the next two months.
Through this application, customers from all mobile operators, ranging from Telkomsel, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, to XLSMART can check their numbers from one platform.
"We are preparing the national registration check application. For opsel customers who have already done biometrics, they can check the system whether their KTP or their identity is used to activate one number," said Edwin on Thursday, July 23.
If an unrecognized number is found, the public can apply for registration cancellation (unregister) through mobile operators and Komdigi.
"And they can ask whether it is through Komdigi or directly to the mobile operator for it to be unreg. Well this is what we are preparing, God willing, in 2 months we will launch now," he added.
Edwin said that Komdigi is currently developing the application together with the National Cyber and Information Security Agency (BSSN), to ensure the security of the system because the application will be directly connected to people's identity data.
"We are working together to prepare this application for BSSN, because this is an application that is from the government that will be direct to the public and this must be protected by the BSSN system," said Edwin.
