Apple will launch macOS Tahoe 26.4 for all compatible Mac computers. This update brings four important improvements focused on device functionality and health.
Here are four features that are confirmed to be present in the next macOS update, launching from 9to5mac.
Battery Charging Limit
The Charge Limit feature is now officially available to help MacBook users extend battery life. Users can set the maximum charging limit between 80 to 100 percent through the System Settings menu.
This feature is similar to the charging settings already available on iPhones and iPads. By limiting full charging, chemical degradation of the battery can be minimized for long-term use.
Compact Tab Bar returns in Safari
Apple will bring back the Compact Tab Bar option in Safari. This design allows the tab bar to look more compact, leaving more space for web page content.
This feature is useful for laptop users with small screens, including the latest MacBook Neo models. Users can choose between a standard tab bar view or a compact version, according to their preferences.
Boost Creativity in Freeform App
The Freeform app gets an update through the integration of the Apple Creator Studio service. Users can later access a collection of premium images in the Content Hub and instantly improve the quality of low-resolution images.
In addition, Freeform is now supported by an Artificial Intelligence (AI) model from OpenAI to automatically generate new images. This feature is also able to provide suggestions for more artistic image cropping.
Eight New Emoji Characters
This version 26.4 update also introduces eight new emoji characters to enrich user expression. Some of them include ballet dancer characters, battle clouds, to trombone musical instruments.
One of the quite unique emojis is the 'Distorted Face' with expressive visuals. In addition, there are also new symbols such as orcas and treasure chests that can be used throughout the Apple device ecosystem.
The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
