JAKARTA - The ability to recognize songs is now directly present in the ChatGPT application after the integration of Apple's technology through the Shazam music recognition service. This new feature allows users to find out the title of the song that is playing without having to leave the application.

The integration was launched globally on Monday, March 9, US time. With this feature, users can simply type commands such as "Shazam, what is this song?" to display the "Tap to Shazam" interface that will identify the song that is playing around them.

Shazam's music recognition technology is now fully working within ChatGPT. This means that users not only get the name of the song, but can also immediately play a snippet of the song in the application without having to open another service.

Technically, the way it works is the same as when using Shazam on an Apple device. The system will listen to an audio piece, match it with a global music database, then display the song title, artist, and audio preview.

To activate it, users need to add Shazam through the ChatGPT app settings. The way is to open the Settings menu, go to the Apps section, then search for and install Shazam from the list of available integrations. Once activated, users can immediately start the command with the word "Shazam".

Interestingly, this feature does not require users to install the Shazam app separately. The song recognition function can still be used on various platforms. However, if the Shazam app is already installed, the song recognized through ChatGPT is automatically stored in the user's Shazam library.

This integration shows a new direction in the development of AI applications that increasingly function as a "digital hub" for various services. In recent years, ChatGPT is no longer just a chatbot, but has begun to become a kind of control center that connects information search, productivity, and entertainment in one interface.

This phenomenon shows the exciting evolution of the technology world. If in the past people opened different applications for each need - a browser to search for information, Shazam to recognize songs, and a music app to listen to - now artificial intelligence is starting to bring it all together in one conversation space. A small step for apps, but a big leap for the way humans interact with everyday technology.
