JAKARTA - Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo officially announced that its latest foldable phone, the Oppo Find N6, will be launched in China on March 17, 2026. Ahead of the launch, the company also released the first teaser video featuring the device's design and available color options.

One of the main focuses of this device is to overcome the classic problem of folding smartphones, namely the fold visible on the inner screen. Oppo said the Find N6 was developed with a new engineering approach that combines a titanium alloy hinge with a special memory glass layer.

According to the company, the combination of the two components is designed to reduce the fold lines while keeping the screen surface more flat even if it has been used for a long time.

The new hinge structure is said to be able to distribute physical pressure more evenly when the device is folded or opened. Meanwhile, the memory glass layer works to return the screen shape to a more even state after the device is opened.

Oppo states that this design has the potential to significantly reduce the visibility of the fold compared to previous generations of folding smartphones.

This device will also support a new stylus accessory called the Oppo AI Stylus which is designed to expand the functionality of the large screen on the inside. The stylus is expected to make activities such as writing, taking notes, and sketching on the foldable screen easier.

Based on the official pre-order page, the Oppo Find N6 will be available in three color options, namely Golden Orange, Original Titanium, and Deep Black.

This phone will also be available in three memory configurations, namely 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 16GB RAM with 512GB storage, and the highest variant of 16GB RAM with 1TB storage. The model with the largest capacity is said to support satellite connectivity features.

According to leaked specifications, the Find N6 is likely to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

The device is expected to have a main screen measuring around 8.12 inches on the inside as well as a secondary screen of 6.62 inches on the outside.

For the camera sector, the Find N6 is said to use a 200-megapixel Samsung HP5 main sensor. The camera system is expected to be combined with two additional Samsung JN5 sensors with a resolution of 50 megapixels that function as an ultra-wide and periscope telephoto camera.

The device is also expected to carry a battery with a capacity of close to 6,000 mAh with fast charging support.
