JAKARTA - Telegram has introduced a number of new features, ranging from member tags in groups, restrictions on sharing messages in private chats, to a login system for the application and website without a password.
Memory Tags
Through this feature, group members can add tags next to their names to indicate a specific role, job, field of study, or interest.
Group admins are given control to determine whether members can set tags themselves or only admins can set them. For admins, tags will be displayed in a different color so that their role is clearer.
Message Restrictions
Through the Disable Sharing option, messages in private chats cannot be forwarded, as well as screenshots and media storage can be restricted. This feature is available to Telegram Premium customers.
Adding Captions to GIFs
With this new feature, dapag users can add captions to GIFs as well as edit GIFs and stickers directly from the media panel, including adding text, images, emojis, and even cutting the duration of the GIF.
Not only that, photos that are opened in the media viewer can now be directly converted into stickers, which can then be edited and saved to favorites or added to a sticker pack.
Voting Timestamp
For the polling feature, Telegram added a timestamp to voting in open-ended polls. That way, participants can see the time each vote was given.
New Log In Feature
The Log In With Telegram feature will allow users to sign up and log into an app or website with just their Telegram account, without having to fill out a form or create a new password.
Users can also choose to share their phone number to make the verification process easier and receive notifications directly through Telegram.
