Samsung Introduces the Latest Version of Bixby via One UI 8.5 Beta

JAKARTA - Samsung Electronics announced a beta program for the latest version of Bixby. Through this announcement, Samsung officially tests the capabilities of its improved digital assistant.

Through this update, Bixby is now not just an assistant, but also an intelligent agent for the Samsung ecosystem. Bixby is now designed to make voice interactions much smoother and intuitive.

The Bixby update is part of Samsung's commitment to expanding the benefits of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology across its phones. Unlike before, Bixby can now provide the latest answers taken from the internet.

"We redesigned Bixby to be able to interact in a more natural way and control the device intuitively," said Won-Joon Choi, Chief Operating Officer of Mobile eXperience at Samsung Electronics, quoted on Friday, February 20.

The latest version of Bixby can help users control devices without having to open and browse settings manually. Samsung says users only need to give the assistant a simple command.

Users can even use everyday language. When users ask Bixby not to turn off the screen, the assistant will search for the appropriate menu and automatically activate the appropriate feature.

In addition, Bixby can also provide solutions to problems experienced by mobile phone users. This assistant can analyze the settings that are active and suggest improvements if there is unwanted device behavior.

The ability to search the web in real-time is also visible in the beta program that Samsung has opened. Bixby will search for the answer on the internet and display it on the screen so that users don't have to open a browser.

The latest version of Bixby can be accessed through the One UI 8.5 beta program in several countries. A number of countries that can access the latest version of Bixby include Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
