Google has finally answered one of its users' biggest requests by launching a significant update to YouTube Music that allows song queue synchronization (Now Playing queue) across platforms.

Through this update, listeners can now switch devices - from Android, iOS, to the Web version - seamlessly without losing the order of the song that is playing.

This feature automatically syncs the last playback session to all devices connected to the same account, so users can continue the listening experience right at the point they stopped without having to search for songs again or rebuild the queue manually.

Before this update, YouTube Music treated each device as a standalone session, which often frustrated users with high mobility. However, with this new synchronization mechanism, when users open the app on an Android phone after listening through the browser on a computer, they will see a mini-player that displays the last song complete with a description label such as "From your browser" or "From your iPhone".

The system will prioritize the most recent listening session and automatically overwrite the old queue on other devices to ensure consistency of the user experience across their device ecosystem.

This move makes YouTube Music more competitive in the global music streaming service competition, matching similar features that have long been owned by its competitors. This queue synchronization is very useful for users who start the day by listening to music at home through a computer, then continue on the go using a mobile phone, and end up at the office using a tablet.

This update has been rolled out gradually and can be enjoyed by users by updating the application to the latest version on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, while for Web version users, this feature has been integrated automatically.
